It’s amazing how Windows changes through out the years. I still remember it when I upgrade my Windows 3.1 to Windows 98 to Windows 2000, Windows XP and skip Windows Vista before upgrading it to Windows 7.

Thanks Robin for sharing this interesting video and the amazing guy, Andy to come out with this.

After many feedbacks, Windows Phone 7.5 can now sync multiple Google calendars.

How to sync multiple Google Calendars (Step by Step):

  1. Go to m.google.com/sync on your phone
  2. Logged in and select your device and the calendars you want to sync (you can choose up to 25)
  3. Tap Save

Note that your new calendars won’t show up until your phone’s next sync with Google’s servers every 30 minutes by default.

To make them show up sooner, you’ll need to do a manual sync.  For detailed instructions from Microsoft Website

After posting Kinect online for a couple of days, quite a few people asked whether it is worth buying Kinect. So you tell me?

Here is my take, if you already have xBox, why not buy Kinect to expand the variety of games that you can play, don’t just limit yourself. If you do not have an xBox, then you can consider buying a full set with Kinect only if you think that you will play xBox or Kinect games. If you are a PSP gamer, which focus on different types of games, you should think whether this type of games suit you.

My experience with Kinect

During the launch, we (@tech65) tried various games.

I personally prefer Dance Central. It is really fun fun for beginner like me who is interested in dancing but not quite there yet. Dancing is a expression that does not require any equipment, and Kinect is perfect for that. The dance steps are pretty simple (I am playing in easy mode) and easy to follow up. I think many people enjoy playing it as well except some are shy dancing in front of others.

Kinect Adventure is another interesting game. Some time it require team work to complete the stage, some time it require us to compete with each other to see who is the fastest. It definitely a nice game to have for family fun time.

Playing Kinect Joyride might be a bit tricky. I find it hard to control especially without a steering wheel. It don’t seems to response well to me especially when making a turn. There should be some tactic somewhere where I am unsure of. You can see I made a fool of myself while trying to drive.

Kinectimals is targeted for children, I personally find it boring. There is no physical touch. I would prefer to use mouse and play it on PC. As I am not a child anymore, I think I can’t say much about this.

Your shape is must to have if you are into fitness. One problem that I encounter with my training is if my training posture is incorrect, it is difficult to tell by my looking at the mirror. With your shape, it shows the posture I am in and whether I need to bend a knee a little more or whether I have bend too much. I really love this, it is as good as having a training center at home.

There will be more games coming out by end of the year and early next year. Do look out for them.

As for the pricing, I think it is pretty reasonable. $229.00 SGD for Kinect sensor with “Kinect Adventures” or $469.00 SGD for new Xbox 360 4GB console, Kinect sensor and “Kinect Adventures”

By the way, if you are intending to buy Kinect, make sure you have enough moving space at home while playing the games.
